STARS 13U Black Wins the New York Elite Fall League
STARS 13U Black finishes the year by winning the New York Elite (NYEB) Baseball Fall League
The STARS 13U Black completed their 2014 Fall season with a record of 17-5-1, and by winning the NYEB 13U Fall League Championship.
The Stars finished the NYEB Fall League with a final record of 11-3. In the first round of the playoffs, the Stars beat the Frozen Ropes American 9-3.
In the semi-final game, the Stars beat the undefeated Hit-n-Run Highlanders by a score of 5-0. No Hit-N-Run Highlander batter was able to locate Adam Bloch's pitches during the game. Adam threw a no-hitter, striking out 11 batters. Adam also racked up two RBIs on three hits, when he doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.
It was an all around effort, when seven players combined for ten hits, as the Stars beat the Shrub Oak Storm 11-0 to Win the Championship. Dylan Casteneda gave up one hit over five innings on the mound, and Adam Bloch closed out the game, which was shortened by the mercy rule.
Additionally, during the Columbus Day Weekend, the Stars won the the Triple Crown Columbus Day Classic Tournament with a record of 4-0-1. The win qualifies the Stars to play in the 2015 Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

The 13U Fall Ball Roster consisted of Michael Andretta, Adam Bloch, Dylan Casteneda, Patrick DeFeciani, Zach Friedman, Ben Partridge, Liam Hehir, Michael Iodice, Zach Kahn, Thomas Quinn, Brendan Rosenblum & James Spiegel. The Stars also want to thank Jake Freeman and the other reserve players who filled in due to player injuries.
The Stars 13u Red Team won the 2014 Fall PBI 60/90 AAA Championship today, besting the PBI Eagles. The Stars 3-2 win was earned on dominating pitching by Gabe Mounkhall & Shane Brosnan. Mounkhall went 5 & 1/3 innings with 5 strikeouts. After letting up two unearned runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, the Stars answered right back scoring two runs in the top of the second inning on a Shane Bronsnan single. Mounkhall took the mound in the bottom of the second and the Stars defense completely shutdown the opposing bats. Jack Wren, Mike Reilly, Joss Hindin, Dylan Olsen, Jake Lagana and Tyler Sepinski recorded out after out, frustrating PBI's batters.
After pitching 5 & 1/3 hitless innings, coach Eric Roe sent Shane Brosnan to the mound to relieve Mounkhall. Brosnan picked up where Mounkhall left off and quickly put down PBI in the sixth inning. In the top of the seventh, Jack Wren singled to left field and was moved over to second on a sacrifice by Mounkhall. With two out and a full count, Chris Davis smashed a single to center field giving the Stars a 3-2 lead. In the bottom of the 7th inning, PBI's lead off batter recorded their first hit of the game. When he attempted to steal second, catcher Joe Giudice fired to 2nd Baseman Joss Hindin who slapped down the tag and sent the only PBI hitter of the game back to the bench. Brosnan finished off the last two batters with infield ground balls giving the Stars the Championship!!!
11U STARS team are NJYB Summer League CHAMPIONS!!!
Clarkstown stars 11u defeated the Slik City Sluggers 7-3 in the semi final game to bring them to the championship game on 8/9 at Tichy Park in Tuxedo. Stellar pitching by Will Sullo and Brendan Mackin shut down the Sluggers. The Stars tacked the runs on offensively by hits from Matt Riley, Will Sullo, Billy DeSapio, Chris Surace and Brendan Mackin. The stars shined defensively thanks to Vinny Nicolucci, Albert Serrano, Chase Barley, Tyler Moore, Tim Richards and Noah Cannici. Joey Orser was solid behind the plate for for the Stars. .
STARS 12U BLACK QUALIFIES FOR WORLD SERIES IN PUERTO RICO!
CLARKSTOWN STARS 12U BLACK WINS AABC PEE WEE REESE NORTH ATLANTIC REGIONALS AND QUALIFIES FOR WORLD SERIES IN TOA BAJA PUERTO RICO
The Clarkstown Stars won the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) North Atlantic Super Regional Tournament against teams from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The Tournament took place from July 24 to 27 in Tuxedo, NY. The teams attending the Regionals qualified by playing in district tournaments.
The Stars finished 4-1 in the tournament. In the Championship game, the Stars beat the Bergen Express 6-2 in extra innings. Liam Hehir put together a great outing on the mound. Bergen Express managed just two hits off Hehir, who allowed just two earned runs during his seven innings of work. Closer Miles Massay put away the final three outs to record the save. Max Viera hit the tie breaking home run in the top of the eighth inning, and he also received the game MVP Award.
The Stars were one of only two teams that played in the regionals with their regular season roster. AABC rules allows teams to pick up players from other teams for Regional Tournaments, but the Stars chose to stick with their original roster of twelve.
The team will be playing in the AABC World Series in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, August 6-11 against teams from around the country and Puerto Rico.

Clarkstown Stars 12U Black baseball team advances to the AABC Regionals with a win at the AABC Metro/Federation Tournament in Jamaica, NY.
The Stars finished 5-1 in the tournament which took place from July 17 to 20. After beating the Queens Blue Jays in a blowout, the Stars suffered their only loss of the tournament to Brooklyn Youth Service League Blue Devils by a score of 10-8 in extra innings. In their next game, the Stars beat the Brooklyn Knights 13-2. This set up a rematch against Youth Services, where the Stars prevailed 19-6. In the semi final game the Stars defeated the Brooklyn Bonnies 11-3. The Stars met up again with Youth Services in the Championship game defeating them 6-4.
